Swiss Towns and Resorts by Coach: 20 Planning Pages
Each page says where the coach sets down, where it waits and what limits it on the way in. Pick the place where the trip starts, or the one the group is heading for.
Towns set the rules, resorts end the road
In the towns the question is where the coach may stop. Zurich has a bus station behind the main station with 28 coach spaces and no booking. Lucerne wants a voucher at its central stops. Bern's 19 coach sites cost nothing today and need no booking; the city plans to bring in a charge and online booking.
In the resorts, what matters is how far the road goes. Zermatt groups leave the coach at Täsch. For Verbier the coach stays in Le Châble and the group takes the gondola. St. Moritz keeps day-trip coaches out of the Dorf.
Some pages cover a whole area: Schaffhausen the Rhine Falls, Montreux Chillon and Lavaux, Lucerne Pilatus and Rigi, Engelberg the Titlis, Chur the Rhaetian Railway, Gstaad the Saanenland and Glacier 3000.
What organisers ask us
